Caltagirone has to be seen at least once in a lifetime, to admire the stunning flower pottered staircase show, honouring the Madonna of Conadomini, that happens once a year displaying on the wonderful craft ceramic decorated staircase and its 142 steps of Scalinata Santa Maria del Monte.

Caltagirone it’s famous all over the world for craft Pottery town.
At least 2000 plants are used every year, depending on the design patterns.
In 2014 the flower pottered staircase show is on from april 30th, all may till june the 4th, as usually about a month.

Infiorata lungo la famosa Scalinata in ceramica decorata di Santa Maria del Monte a Caltagirone, in onore della Madonna di Conadomini, ogni anno gran parte dei 142 scalini viene decorato con circa 2.000 piante creando un disegno a tema.

Quest’anno 2014 circa 1.400 piante fra cui numerosi gerani per rappresentare dei bellissimi tulipani rossi.
Caltagirone, la città della ceramica artigianale fra le più famose e conosciute al mondo, emozioni che solo la scalinata e le sue ceramiche artigianali, è capace di trasmetterti e di cui parlare sempre con vanto a chiunque te ne dia oppportunità.

Lungo la scalinata ma anche per le vie della città che promette passeggiate fra storia e arte, si snodano  botteghe /negozi / laboratori come la ‘Bruselles maioliche d’arte’ al nr 37, o come il giovane Angelo Varsallano

Trovare Caltagirone affollata di turisti, visitatori o acquirenti soddisfatti che lasciando la città ne portino via ottime immagini e ricordi, mi rende orgogliosa della nostra Sicilia.
