Modica in provincia di Ragusa.
A very ancient oldtown, worldwide famous for aztecs cocoa way to make chocolate, well known for its art expressions, architecture, culture and history as well.
Named “city of one hundred churchs”, it has two Cathedral the Saint George and Saint Peter.
In ancient times it was crossed by a river (that doesn’t exist anymore) that is nowaday the main central street plain of shops, business activities, cafè, pastry and ice cream places.
Various bridges crossed the two riverside, that’s why it was called “little Venice”.
Beautiful place to discover in few days, don’t even think about one day tour ;-).
Great traditional recipes, food and wine obviously.
